Celebrating Ireland in Story & Song

with Phil Edmonds, Kevin Fallon and Mary King

Celtic music with ‘Celebrating Ireland in Story & Song’. Come join us for an afternoon (or evening) celebrating the music, hilarity and dance of Ireland. Phil Edmonds (originally from County Clare), is an (alleged) leprechaun who plays the tin whistle and button accordion with great warmth and spirit. Kevin Fallon (by way of county Roscommon and Mayo) is a soulful guitarist, fiddler and singer. Mary King (Up Donegal & Cavan) joins in with the fiddle, Celtic Harp and voice. She also teaches a beginning Irish step 1/2 hour before the program. Get your green on, warm up your voices and sit back and enjoy the 20th anniversary of the program.

  • Fantastic Backdrop

Wonderful birthday celebration for my sister who loves all things Irish. Music was marvelous. Created just the mood I hoped for. Thank you so much.

  • Perfect music for my Dads 70th!

Mary played her beautiful harp solo for the first of 3 hours of entertainment, joined for the final 2 by the rest of an amazing Irish music trio. They made the party by playing Irish classics, and teaching us some great new tunes along the way. Don't second guess booking them for your event! We plan to have them again in the future.

  • Beautiful music & wonderful people

Mary, Phil and Kevin, playing as the trio ‘Celebrating Ireland’ were perfect for our ‘send off’ party in our 19th century farmhouse at Roger Williams University. Their music was wonderful and people had a marvelous time listening and talking with the musicians who are so talented! Logistically, Mary was a great communicator and it was a joy making plans for the event and working out the details. I highly recommend Mary, either as a soloist or as part of her group, ‘Celebrating Ireland’.

  • Thanks so much

Thanks so much for a warm, funny and musically delightful concert last night. Our audience of 110+ could not have been happier. It really did feel like a "celebration"and a moving one, at that. The three of you must keep playing together!

  • Thanks for the fabulous program.

Thanks for the fabulous program. It was a show that appealed to creatures young and old, real and mythical — seniors, children, leprechauns, fairies, and most exotic of all -- librarians! Everybody had a tremendous time and got to experience Irish culture at its very best.

  • what a wonderful addition

Mary, Kevin and Phil, what a wonderful addition to reading week and Tiverton's music program. Folk tunes and folk tales to "Celebrate Ireland!" The students were so engaged, singing, dancing and trying to guess which spectacular instrument you would take out next to amaze them.  We so look forward to seeing you again in the future.
